Street Cleaning Operative – £12.86 – £13.48 per hour

We now have a fantastic opportunity to work with our long-established client in helping to keep the New Forest towns, villages, and public spaces clean, safe and welcoming.

About the Role

Hours: Monday to Friday 0800-1600

You’ll play a key part in maintaining the appearance of the New Forest by carrying out tasks such as:

• Litter picking and fly‑tip removal
• Graffiti cleaning and bin maintenance
• Snow clearance and other emergency response duties
• Supporting void property clearances and reactive works

You’ll often be a visible representative of the Council, so a friendly, professional approach is important.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• UK manual driving licence (minimum 3.5T)
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong customer service skills
• Willingness to complete training (Manual Handling, First Aid, LANTRA Road Safety)

Desirable

• Experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of machinery and safe working practices
• Understanding of COSHH and waste regulations

This is an outdoor role in all weather, with full PPE and training provided.
